Ghini is a family-run silk scarf brand based in Argegno, a quiet village on Lake Como - the historic heart of European silk production for over five centuries.
We offer a fresh interpretation of the traditional Italian silk scarf, with elegant designs, exceptional quality and fair prices.
Our story began when our family left England to follow our Italian dream of restoring a crumbling old townhouse in Argegno's piazza.
Over time, we began noticing the many silk shops dotted around Lake Como and discovered the area's rich silk heritage, a legacy that stretches back to the Renaissance.
We loved the craftsmanship, but much of what we found felt either overly ornate or out of reach in price.
We kept coming back to the idea of something simpler, more modern and easy to wear every day, so we started designing our own.
This quickly grew into Ghini, a scarf brand led by mother-and-son team Suzanne and Oliver.
Our scarves, with their simple designs and timeless colours, are intended to be worn all-year round, no matter the outfit or occasion.
Ghini provides a completely zero-mile product - with each stage of production completed in Como - helping to preserve the Lake's ancient silk tradition without demanding luxury prices.
Family is at the heart of everything we do.
To maintain full creative control and ensure the best possible customer experience, every aspect of Ghini is handled by our family.
From design and photography to customer service and sales, we remain directly responsible for every element of our business.
Our scarves are then created in Como by one of the oldest family-run silk mills in Italy - who have been crafting fine scarves since the Victorian Age.
